Bike and Sail Day 3: Texel, round trip from/to Oudeschild (40 km/24.8 mi. or 49 km/30 mi.)
The island of Texel is a cyclist’s dream destination with its varied scenery, well-signposted cycle tracks and picturesque villages. Our suggestion is to complete a round trip cycling tour of the largest of the Dutch North Sea islands that takes you via a number of villages, the seal sanctuary station “Ecomare” and a traditional beer brewery near the harbor of Oudeschild.

We got started a little later than expected due to the downpour. It is very cold and wet!

An awesome yarn shop. Many of us picked out yarn for Pat to make us a sweater.

Kirk is holding the bottle opener Tom bought for him. It makes a sheep noise. Tom referred to Jo as "Kirk's bossy wife," who wouldn't buy the bottle opener for him. This brought us some great laughs!
