Day 10- Monday, June 9, 2025
Bike and Sail Day 2: Enkhuizen – Medemblik (24 km/14 mi or 40 km/24.8 mi.) | sailing Medemblik – Den Oever – Texel
Today you can cycle the first leg of the trip along the IJsselmeer coast through the beautiful polder landscape to Medemblik. After the cycling tour, the ship will sail further to Den Oever. Depending on the weather in the evening, the ship will take the lock and sail across the Wadden Sea (part of the North Sea) to the island of Texel.

For breakfast, we always had a plate of meat and cheeses, a fruit and granola bar, a basket of fresh bread and one other item. We used the breads and meats to also make a sandwich for the afternoon bike trip.
Our bike trip did not start as we had hoped. Our large group of 13 got broken up into two seperate groups. We had all hoped to pedal together for the day, however, that didn't happen.

After the bike trip, Kirk, Shannon, Jo, and Pat went to the castle across the channel.

We always had some sort of cakes and snacks after our bike ride.

After dinner we arrived on the island of Texel.
