Tuesday, August 4- Budapest, no riding bikes today. The temperature was 103 today.

Due to the drought our ship was unable to make it up the river to Budapest. Our touring company provided a 2.5-3 hour bus ride to and from Budapest where a tour guide loaded our bus. 

Jo, Jenny, Shannon, Sue, Anna, Pat, and Jessica all took the bus to Budapest. Our first stop was the market where we were able to shop and look for about an hour. We loaded the bus again and got a tour around the town learning that the town is actually broken into two parts. Buda and Pest. After a tour on the bus we were brought back to the market area where we could go to the market again or we could walk around the shopping district. 

Mary stayed back at the ship and walked around to find the sites for us when we returned.

What we were supposed to do today:

In the morning, we will enjoy the panoramic view of the Danube's gorgeous landscape on the sundeck. The gateway to Budapest is overwhelming, as many of the most famous tourist features are situated directly next to the riverbank. In the afternoon we can explore the numerous attractions of the city. Nearby, we find the Margaret Island which is outstandinly qualified for a small bike tour of the charming town of Szentendre with Mediterranean atmosphere and liveley art life. In the night, we will ship to Visegrad.
