Day 14- Friday, June 13, 2025
Bike and Sail Day 6: Harlingen – Franeker – Makkum (40 km/24.8 mi. or 45 km/28 mi.)
Via Franeker, with the famous planetarium of Eise Eisinga, you cycle through the beautiful, wide Frisian countryside along several rural villages to the small harbor of Makkum on the eastern bank of the lake IJsselmeer. If you take the long cycling trip, you will also visit Bolsward, one of the Eleven Frisian Cities.

Use the "WC" also known in Europe as the Wash Closet. This particular one can be for any gender.
Next stop on the tour, a chocolate candy vending machine. All chocolate was referiated and tasted incredible!
Next to the place we stopped for lunch was a small grocery store. Jo found these "Cool American" Doritos. No longer "Cool Ranch"!
The next stop, indmills! Jo had requested authentic windmills that hadn't been turned into museums. We passed 5 on our bike ride.

It was really hot after dinner so Pat, Shannon, Joe, Sue, Victoria, and Josh (not shown) all went for a quick swim! If you need a good belly laugh, watch the first video.

Josh and Victoria went out on the Disco Boat for an evening of fun and dancing while the rest of us went to bed!
